Must Know

·       Best Time to Visit: The ideal time to explore Rajasthan is from October to March when the weather is pleasant and cool. Avoid the scorching heat of summer (April to June).

·       Dress Appropriately: Rajasthan can get hot, so light cotton clothing is recommended during the day. However, temperatures drop at night, so pack some warm clothes, especially in the desert areas.

·       Travel Essentials: Carry sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and plenty of water, especially when visiting the desert areas like Sam Sand Dunes. Don't forget your camera to capture the stunning landscapes and architecture!

·       Local Culture and Etiquette: Rajasthan is known for its strong cultural heritage. Be respectful of local customs, especially when visiting temples and forts. Women are advised to dress modestly.

·       Food and Water: While Rajasthani cuisine is rich and flavorful (try the dal baati churma and ker sangri), make sure to drink bottled water to avoid any stomach issues. Street food can be tempting, but be cautious about where you eat.

·       Local Transport: In cities like Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, hiring an auto-rickshaw or a private car for sightseeing is common. For a more authentic experience, consider taking a camel ride in the desert.

·       Currency: Rajasthan uses Indian Rupees (INR), so ensure you have enough cash. ATMs are widely available in major cities, but rural areas may have limited access.

·       Travel Insurance: It's advisable to have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, especially if you're engaging in adventure activities like camel safaris.
