• Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati & Local Sightseeing

  • Highlights: Arrive at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station and check into your hotel. Visit the revered Maa Kamakhya Devi Temple. Take a scenic ferry ride across the Brahmaputra River to Umananda Island to visit Umananda Temple. Enjoy a relaxing evening sunset walk at the Brahmaputra Riverfront.

  • Overnight: Guwahati

• Day 2: Guwahati to Shillong via Umiam Lake

  • Highlights: Check out after breakfast and drive up into the hills. En route stop at Umiam Lake (Borapani) for panoramic views and photos. Arrive in Shillong and check into your hotel. Enjoy light local sightseeing visiting Ward’s Lake, Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, and Police Bazaar.

• Day 3: Shillong Full-Day Local Sightseeing

• Day 4: Shillong to Cherrapunji (Sohra)

  • Highlights: Scenic mountain drive with a stop at Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint. Witness Nohkalikai Falls and Seven Sisters Falls in their full post-monsoon surge. Walk through the natural limestone formations of Mawsmai Cave.

  • Overnight: Cherrapunji

• Day 5: Double Decker Living Root Bridge & Rainbow Falls Trek

  • Highlights: Drive to Tyrna Village for the Nongriat Trek. Descend steps through tropical forests to marvel at the Double Decker Living Root Bridge. Extend the trek to the pristine Rainbow Falls (fitness and weather permitting) before returning to Tyrna.

• Day 6: Cherrapunji to Dawki, Mawlynnong & Jowai

  • Overnight: Jowai

• Day 7: Jowai to Guwahati Departure

  • Highlights: Check out after breakfast and drive back through the hills down to the plains of Assam. Drop-off at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
