    12-Day India Itinerary

    A carefully planned journey covering the highlights of Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan, combining India's iconic Mughal heritage with the forts, palaces, colourful markets and culture of Rajasthan.

    Delhi → Agra → Jaipur → Pushkar → Jodhpur → Ranakpur → Udaipur → Delhi


    Day 1: Arrival in Delhi → Agra

    Welcome to India!

    Upon arrival at Delhi Airport, you will be met by your private driver and assisted for your onward journey to Agra.

    From Delhi, drive to Agra by private vehicle. The journey takes approximately 3–4 hours, depending on traffic conditions.

    On arrival in Agra, check in at your hotel and take some time to relax after your journey.

    If you arrive early enough, you may visit Mehtab Bagh in the evening. Located across the Yamuna River, the garden offers beautiful views of the Taj Mahal and is a peaceful way to begin your Agra experience.

    The rest of the evening is free to relax or explore the local surroundings.

    Day 2: Agra Sightseeing – Taj Mahal & Agra Fort

    Today is dedicated to exploring Agra and its famous Mughal heritage.

    Start your morning with an early visit to the Taj Mahal.

    The Taj Mahal is best experienced in the early morning when the light is softer and the atmosphere is generally more peaceful. Spend time exploring the monument, its gardens and the surrounding complex.

    Return to the hotel for breakfast.

    Later, visit Agra Fort, a magnificent red sandstone fort that served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors for several generations.

    After lunch, the afternoon can be kept relaxed. Depending on your interests, you may explore Agra's local markets, handicraft shops or visit Mehtab Bagh if it was not covered the previous evening.

    Day 3: Agra → Fatehpur Sikri → Jaipur

    After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your journey towards Jaipur.

    En route, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the historic Mughal city built during the reign of Emperor Akbar.

    Explore the grand courtyards, palaces and architectural remains of this fascinating former imperial capital.

    Continue your drive towards Jaipur.

    The total journey, including the sightseeing stop, will take approximately 5–6 hours.

    On arrival in Jaipur, check in at your hotel.

    If time permits, take an evening walk through Jaipur's old city and colourful markets.

    Day 4: Explore Jaipur – The Pink City

    After breakfast, begin your sightseeing of Jaipur.

    Start with Amber Fort, located on the outskirts of the city. Explore its impressive courtyards, palaces and detailed architecture while learning about the history of Jaipur's royal family.

    Continue towards Jal Mahal, the beautiful palace located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake.

    Later, explore Jaipur's historic centre, including the City Palace and Jantar Mantar.

    You will also have the opportunity to see Hawa Mahal, one of Jaipur's most recognisable landmarks.

    In the afternoon or evening, spend some time exploring Jaipur's traditional markets. The city's bazaars are ideal for browsing textiles, jewellery, handicrafts, souvenirs and local products.

    Day 5: Jaipur → Pushkar

    After breakfast, check out and drive towards Pushkar.

    Pushkar offers a completely different atmosphere from Jaipur. Known for its sacred lake and temples, the town is surrounded by the Aravalli hills and has a relaxed, colourful character.

    On arrival, check in at your hotel.

    Later, explore Pushkar on foot.

    Visit Pushkar Lake and walk around the surrounding ghats. You can also visit the famous Brahma Temple and explore the narrow streets and local markets.

    The evening is best enjoyed at a relaxed pace. Pushkar has several small cafés and restaurants where you can experience the town's laid-back atmosphere.

    Day 6: Pushkar → Jodhpur

    After breakfast, check out and begin your journey towards Jodhpur.

    The drive takes approximately 4–5 hours.

    On arrival in Jodhpur, check in at your hotel and relax.

    Later in the evening, head towards the old city and explore the area around the Clock Tower and Sardar Market.

    This is a great place to experience everyday life in Jodhpur, browse local handicrafts and sample some traditional Rajasthani food.

    Overnight: Jodhpur


    Day 7: Explore Jodhpur – The Blue City

    After breakfast, begin your sightseeing of Jodhpur.

    Your first stop will be Mehrangarh Fort, one of the most impressive forts in Rajasthan. The fort rises above the city and offers spectacular views over Jodhpur's blue-painted houses.

    Explore its courtyards, palaces and museum collections.

    Continue to Jaswant Thada, a beautiful marble memorial located close to Mehrangarh Fort.

    Later, visit the area around Umaid Bhawan Palace, one of India's most prominent royal residences.

    In the afternoon, spend some time exploring the old city and its blue lanes.

    The evening can be enjoyed at a rooftop restaurant or café overlooking the city and Mehrangarh Fort.

    Overnight: Jodhpur


    Day 8: Jodhpur → Ranakpur → Udaipur

    After breakfast, check out and begin your scenic journey towards Udaipur.

    The route takes you through the Aravalli hills and offers a beautiful change of scenery.

    En route, stop at Ranakpur to visit the famous Jain Temple, known for its intricate marble architecture and beautifully carved pillars.

    Spend some time exploring the temple complex before continuing towards Udaipur.

    Continue your drive to Udaipur and check in at your hotel.

    In the evening, enjoy a relaxed walk around the old city or spend some time near Lake Pichola.

    Overnight: Udaipur


    Day 9: Explore Udaipur – The City of Lakes

    After breakfast, begin your Udaipur sightseeing.

    Visit the magnificent City Palace, overlooking Lake Pichola. Explore its courtyards, balconies, royal rooms and museums.

    Continue to Jagdish Temple, one of the city's important historic temples.

    Later, visit Gangaur Ghat and explore the old city lanes.

    Depending on your interests and available time, visit Saheliyon Ki Bari and Fateh Sagar Lake.

    In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola.

    The sunset over the lake, with views of the City Palace and surrounding palaces, is one of the highlights of Udaipur.

    Spend the evening at leisure and enjoy dinner at one of the city's lakeside or rooftop restaurants.

    Overnight: Udaipur


    Day 10: Udaipur → Delhi

    After breakfast, check out from the hotel.

    Depending on your flight or train schedule, you will be transferred to Udaipur Airport/Railway Station for your journey back to Delhi.

    On arrival in Delhi, meet your driver and transfer to your hotel.

    The rest of the evening is free to relax after the journey.

    Day 11: Explore Delhi – Old & New Delhi

    After breakfast, spend the day exploring India's capital.

    Begin with some of Delhi's most important historic landmarks.

    Depending on your interests and available time, the sightseeing can include:

    • India Gate

    • Humayun's Tomb

    • Qutub Minar

    • Red Fort

    • Jama Masjid

    • Chandni Chowk

    • Connaught Place

    A visit to Old Delhi is highly recommended for experiencing the city's vibrant streets, traditional markets and local food culture.

    You can also keep some time for shopping for souvenirs and handicrafts.

    Return to your hotel after sightseeing.

    Day 12: Delhi – Departure

    Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and a relaxed morning.

    Depending on your departure flight timing, you can use the remaining time for shopping or exploring the nearby area.

    Later, your private driver will transfer you to Delhi Airport for your onward journey.

    Your 12-day India journey comes to an end with memories of the Taj Mahal, Mughal history, Rajasthan's magnificent forts and palaces, colourful markets and the unique character of each city.
