After reaching Jaipur, check in to your hotel and don't try to complete half the city on your first day.

Today you leave Jaipur and travel towards Udaipur.

Walk around the old city.

And just enjoy being there.
If you ask us which city deserves extra time on a Rajasthan couple trip, Udaipur would be one of our first choices.
The city doesn't need to be rushed.
Start with City Palace and explore the palace complex and its views over Lake Pichola.
Afterwards, spend some time around the old city before heading towards the lake.
A boat ride on Lake Pichola is one of the experiences that naturally fits into a romantic Rajasthan itinerary.
But even if you don't take a boat ride, spending time around the lake at sunset is worth making room for.
This is one of those situations where you shouldn't immediately ask:
"What attraction do we visit next?"
Sit down.
Have a drink.
Take photographs.
Watch the city light up.
That's what makes a couple's itinerary different from a standard sightseeing itinerary.
For couples, we would prioritise:

over trying to fit another three attractions into the evening.

After breakfast, leave Udaipur for Jodhpur.

Jodhpur is famous for its blue-painted houses and the imposing Mehrangarh Fort, which dominates the city from above.

Start with Mehrangarh Fort, one of the defining landmarks of the city.
After the fort, explore Jaswant Thada and continue towards the old city.
You can also spend some time around the Clock Tower and local markets.
Jodhpur is a good city for couples who enjoy photography.
The contrast between the blue houses, sandstone architecture and massive fort creates some of the most distinctive photographs you'll get during the Rajasthan trip.
You don't need to visit every attraction.
Spend time walking.
Explore a market.
Stop for local food.
Find a rooftop café.
And leave some time to simply enjoy the atmosphere.

Leave Jodhpur and head towards Jaisalmer.
